WandaVision promises a revolutionary series with complex storyline, using “Vulnerability” as her source of Power

Bidding farewell to the last ten years of incredible Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, Kevin Feige wasted no time to reveal the upcoming Phase four. Fasten your seatbelts because the journey is going to be one electrifying ride. WandaVision is the premier series on Disney Plus back on February 15, operating for nine episodes weekly. A revolutionary paying homage from the ’50s to 00’s sitcoms packed with dark comedy, heart-warming script, unexpected cameos, and surprising easter eggs.

Rated 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, not only marvel fanatic, comic lovers but film lovers also took great interest captivating their attention by complicated storylines that make sense. Wanda and Vision are unleashed in the dungeon, and finally proved their own supremacy. The undeniably, insightful writing starts off the events after two weeks of Endgame. Early episodes paved its unique way of storytelling by how each scene are edited to unravel the main plot of the whole series. Confused yet invested, the series impacted on paying homage to popular sitcoms back in the olden days, where Wanda and Vision are living their own virtual reality in a multiverse. Its narrative arc had a promising start that took viewers on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, thrill and shocking cameos.

Is Vision truly alive?” or “Could Wanda be the Scarlet Witch?” recurring questions created massive social buzz on Twitter as some scenes hinted easter eggs that could potentially lead to answers.

$25 million were budgeted per episode, totalling on approximately $200 million for the whole series and this was due to bringing an incredible team of editing CGI to make the era of the sitcom realistic. WandaVision became the most expensive television show to ever exist in this digital time, and gathering 6.5 million viewers in the US alone. With dark tonal shifts, and electrifying character development, we are in for a treat. Introducing new characters, and reprising side characters in the MCU— WandaVision playfully established endless possibilities of cross over opportunities in the series. The algorithm across social media encouraged to exchange theories that led marvel fans to feel let-down due to the underwhelming finale revelation.

Some may argue the narrative did not exceed to pass such greater expectations of what could become something much more. Hence the creators, and writers revealed the biggest mutant and avengers cross-over that swept everyone’s feet just for it to be a “boner’s” joke. However, the series are packed with family drama, intense revelations and a plot twist that we have been waiting to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Adding new characters entails danger is coming to Phase four, and we are just getting started. Acting performances from Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Teyonah Parris and Kathryn Hahn did not disappoint as the talented assemble delivered lines profoundly. 

The post-credit scenes teased how WandaVision connects with Spiderman: No Way Home and Doctor Strange into the Multiverse. Although Marvel decided not to give us the one cameo we wanted, the start of Phase four are looking pretty mayhem.  One of the great things to have happened during pandemic are the MCU’s supporting heroes green lighting their own Disney Plus shows. With the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye scheduled to release this year has made our quarantine life entertainingly amusing.

You cannot help but watch a Marvel Cinematic Universe marathon to realise how each stand-alone or avenger movie play their own part to complete the whole puzzle of storytelling.
